My great grandmother Yolanda, or nan was a beautiful women inside and out. Every time I saw my nan she had a smile on her face and after we exchanged a hug and a kiss her first question would be how are you doing dolly? Or if visiting her at her house it would be have you eaten today? The most selfless, caring, and sympathetic women and the only person I know who could change my mood with just her presence. Her smile so bright and contagious it was magnetic, and her get up let me tell you there were heels, jackets and bags that I wanted to borrow! Whenever I see Betty Boop I will constantly be reminded of you and the many cherished items you have passed down to me. I look up to you and truly hope I can be half the women you were. What makes me feel at peace is the fact that nana will be dancing with my papa in heaven with the lord in their company, celebrating their many years of a wonderfully beautiful marriage. I love you nan forever and always Xoxo your Dolly and great granddaughter

There will never EVER be another Nana. Tomorrow marks five years that she went to her heavenly home. I miss her more than you will ever know. If you looked up family in the dictionary, you would find a picture of her as the definition. And if she was still with us I am sure at 91 she would be rockin' her skinny jeans while buying scratch tickets at Bemis. She would still be serving us her 7 course dinners..and spoiling the kitty Angelica...she would have made Easter baskets for the little kids and would have loved to see everyone from Indianapolis out here next summer. Truly this was her greatest joy..her and Papa's

Still it hurts and still the memories flood my mind. Still the pain when your name comes up. I can't explain how much I miss you. There are no words. I know you are not missing out on so many things I want to share with you because I know in my heart that you are looking down on us. You are watching as Bryson picks flowers still till this day. I know you are watching when Domenic shows his kind heart to others. I know you are watching when Jeffrey stands in formation as a United States Marine. I know you are watching when we are together as a family. I know you are watching as the DiGiusto family continues to grow. Great Grandchild after great grandchild. Your pride is soaring...I just know it. You would be in Heaven down here...but instead you are in Heaven up there. Thank you, once again, for your love, your strength and of course the most important of all...your guidance in showing us that Family is the most important thing in life. You are truly missed down here on this earth Nana. Truly...
Forever your memory will live within us. I love you then, now and forever.
Love always,
Your best friend for life... Natasha Yoldandai <3 -

My Nana wasn't the typical grandmother. Yes, she was loving, caring, nurturing like the rest...but no one could pull off the outfit's like my Nan. From her belts, to her shoes, to her luggage pocketbooks...my Nan had it going on! 😉 She was my best friend with the loyalty like no one else. When I was with my Nana...it wasn't an obligation or a "chore", it was a privilege...it was a cherished conversation, a laugh that we only shared, and some seriously sugared down coffee. She was the one I wanted to go to Martin's with, she was the one I wanted over for coffee and lunch, she was the one I wanted around my children because she truly showed them what unconditional love meant. My Nana and Papa raised an amazing family...one that holds strong together and loves like no one else. We are one...and we will remain strong and positive knowing that the foundation of this family was built on those two truly incredible people...Domenic and Yolanda DiGiusto...may you dance like your young with Jesus. Until we see you again...we will carry on your family love, your memories, and your strong sense of positive influence.

Aunt Lundie, You were a large part of our lives growing up and I always felt the love in you for everyone, only seeing the good in people. I have never encountered anyone with a larger heart. I will never forget the times visiting you and you always made everyone feel like they were at home. You will truly be missed. All my love, Laurie

We are so sorry for your loss, but try to remember how you were all so blessed to have had such a wonderful women for a mother and grandmother. She truly was an inspiration to us all. We will remember her with having such a loving, nurturing and giving spirit, one that was forgiving and unconditional love. We love you all and we grieve with you. We memorialize her with all our loving memories such as working with her at the restaurant, and playing wist at her house, and the many good times we all had at your house on Vineyard rd. We cherish all those memories, and we love you all and share your pain and joy in knowing that she is gone to be with the Lord as is Domenic. We feel so privilege to have been part of your family and the love that we always felt and that in it's self is a testimony to your Mom. We love you all

They say time heals all wounds. I don't believe that. I still look up to the sky and wish so badly that you were down here with us. I want to call you and tell you about "my 3 sons" as you used to always say to me. I want to tell you about Jeffrey and how he is growing up and almost out of High School. I want to tell you that lil' Domenic is so sweet and you would adore his loving heart. I want to tell you that your boy Bryson is a little entertaining machine, but mixed with a little boy who still brings flowers to the women in his life. 😉 I want to call you up Nan...if I attempt to cook one night and can't seem to figure it out. I'd like to visit back home Nana, but I don't have anywhere to stay while I am there. I want to stay at your house even though it's always 90 degrees and you wake up to feed that darn fat cat at all hours of the night...while leaving the TV at full volume and the light bright as a full moon! I miss my best friend so very much. We all do. I just thank God that he provides hope and peace knowing that one day, when our time comes, we will see you once again. Until then Nan...you are missed beyond measure here on Earth, loved beyond words...and no matter how many years go by...I will still always hurt like that April day my heart broke in half. With so much love....<3

Nana, Words cannot even express how much I will miss you. You have touched my life in so many ways and the memories I hold most dear are with you. You taught me the importance of family, loyalty, unconditional love. I know my family would say that my cooking is th greatest thing I learned from you! You are truly the Proverbs 31 women (except maybe she might not have sucked people up in her tailpipes:) Nana I'm comforted by knowing that you are with Jesus and Papa and so many others. What I will carry on and wish that so many would consider is the importance of Sunday Family Day, there is no greater gift than family. I love you Nan and I will miss you so much. Love, Your Dolly, Your New England Girl Tamara DiGiusto/Thomson

Early on the morning of Dad & Mom's 69th anniversary I expressed my thoughts of Mom. I didn't realize it was guest Book for Patriot Ledger, and yet it was a blessing as this morning We get to share out of Mom's Journal we found how much she loved her children, her Honey as she called him was her other half which made them whole. Her thoughts were always Lord be with me each day, guide me and allow me the Independency which she always talked about not being a burden to those she Loved. Can you even imagine that thought as her whole Life was Nurturing and Caring and asking God to Bless her Family & Friends daily. Her Faith is a Gift after reading her written Words to All of Us. She truly knew where she was going, "Peace that Passeth all Understanding" Let us carry on the knowledge that we too will join her in Heaven. Mom, you have touched the World with The Beauty of who we should pattern our lives after. Thank you for always being there for all of Us.Always and forever your children.

Dear Maryann and Family, Your Mom was such an integral part of our Sunday worship. She always had that beautiful smile and extremely snappy outfits. She always looked like a million bucks! I was always comforted by the fact that your Mom was on the left side of the choir, while my Mom sits over on the right. Such a comfort week after week to see these two such special ladies sitting there. That will always be her seat. Thank you for sharing her with all of us, she will be greatly missed. No one had a smile like that. Such a sweet and beautiful person. Our deepest sympathy to you, your brothers and all of your family. She touched so many lives. May she rest in peace. Fondly, Kathy Kawa

Dear Carmen, Janet and Loving Family, The world has lost a very precious gem! Linda was so devoted to her family and to her friends. She gave her love unconditionally and was always there for each and every one of you whenever you needed her. She didn't always approve of everything but despite her feelings, she was always there with her support. When I remember Linda, I always think of such a lady with such STYLE. She could almost pass for one of her granddaughters, so cool was she! We had so many great times with her up here and in Florida. It was an honor to be included in so many of your family gatherings. What a cook she was. Guess she is up in Heaven cooking for her Dominic and the rest of the gang. It will take a long time for that whole in your hearts to heal but all the precious memories she left you with will one day fill your hearts with joy. RIP Linda - Love, Baarbara

When they say one in a million, they mean one of a kind. A woman that brought family together, a nana that made you feel comfortable, fed and loved , a loyal wife, friend and mother. My nana was the BEST. she had style grace and could walk in heels like nobody else. her absence will be most missed at Family Time, because for sure that's what it was about. You r in heaven ,as beautiful, and happy as you ever have been. I know it with all of my heart. I love you always and forever.

Dear Carmen, Dennis, Maryann and families. We were saddened to read of the loss of your dear mother Linda. We remember her fondly as well as Dom who used to give me rides to the shipyard for work. It was fun growing up next to you all on Wampatuck road. My Mom passed a few years ago and my Dad (Carl) is a resident at the Brockton VA Hospital. He will turn 94 this year and is like the everready bunnie. When we think we may loose him he always surprises us and survives. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Sincerely Steve and Kathy Brennion and Janet Marcus

Yolanda "Linda" DiGiusto: Sister, Wife, Mother, Auntie, Nana, friend. Our terms of endearment for someone as beloved as her. When I was younger, I remember how she used to draw these amazing portraits of women from the 1940’s in pen. She proceeded to tell me that when she was younger, she had such a passion for fashion and aspired to be a buyer for a department store. One day one of her girlfriends introduced her to Domenic DiGiusto and, as time progressed, their relationship blossomed into a love that lasted through the decades. Putting her aspirations aside for something better, she walked a different road in life that gave her 3 wonderful children, who are a reflection of both her and Papa. One thing I can say that has been passed down from generation to generation is that they instilled in us a love for our family, and no matter the good/bad/or indifferent times, we should always be there for one another. Life is too short and we should love each other unconditionally. When Papa Domenic was ill, Nana was right by his side. The commitment and dedication she had for the love of her life was so inspiring. You rarely see this kind of passion in the world today. Her love for not only him, but for all those around her really puts things into perspective that you should seize each day, value each moment you have on earth and treasure the ones you love whether it is family or friends. There was an entry in my Nana’s Journal from August 2010 that I would like to share: "I am a very lucky person in the fact that not only do I have 3 Great children: Dennis, Carmen, and Maryann-look at all of my wonderful grandchildren and thank God, 12 great grandchildren. Domenic honey we have the best of the best! I wish I could be able to put in writing all of the things that go on with my children and their children. As always I say “Che Sera Sera what will be will be. I wish for all of my family all of Gods blessings in everything they do." Nana fought so hard

Nana-I miss picking flowers for you. I'm playing soccer now. Jeffrey says you used to watch him play basketball all the time. He loved when you were in the stands and he would look up to see your smiling face. I wish you could come to my games Nana. I know you are there watching me though...I can't see you...but I know you are there. Is Papa there too? My mom misses you SO much Nana. We all miss you being here on earth with us. I hope your having a good time in Heaven...be sure to cheer me on. I play Saturdays at 9. Mom tries to coach...but she isn't that good 😉 Anyway-I'll see you Saturday. Love "your boy"....Bryson
