I think of Bill often, thou I had only seen him once, around 1980, since 5th grade when I left Hanover. He had reached out to me on Facebook while he was ill. Reading everyone's posts after Bill passed, I realized that he and I had lived very similar lives and seemed to have very similar experiences as adults. Rest in peace my oldest of friends, we will catch up another day. A bientot.

It is with both shock and dismay that we just learned of Bill's untimely passing. Our hearts are heavy upon learning that the world has lost such a kind and gentle man - far too soon. His eyes were always smiling long before he greeted a person; he never had a bad word for anyone and family always came first. Our most sincere condolences to his children, Devon and Lucas. Surely his wonderful attributes live in you both as well as countless memories that you shared. Robin, we are sorry to just learn this sad news. Dear Bill and Sharlene, Bill's wife and Children, Pricilla and Jane, I offer my profound condolences on the passing of Bill. In many ways it is exceptionally sad to mourn the passing of a student. I remember vividly Billy's beautiful little smiling face at Salmond School. He and his siblings were a vital part of our Salmond family. At the same time I rejoice in my assurance that Bill is now happy in the Lord and confident in our Savior's welcoming words. May it comfort you to reflect on the words: "Life has changed, not ended". No matter how long it had been since the last time I saw Bill, he always acted like we had just seen each other the day before. In the over 38 years that I have know him, he never has a bad thing to say about anyone and he was always there for anyone who needed him. I am honored to have been his friend. I will cherish the years I knew him.
