William G. Blake 11/29/41-5/6/21

William "Bubba" Gordon Blake, 79, lifelong resident of Rockland passed away peacefully Tuesday May 6, 2021 at South Shore Hospital. William was born November 29, 1941 and was a loving and generous son, brother, uncle, and good friend to many.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon L. and Teresa V.(Lawless) Blake of Rockland and his nephew Stephen P. Adamo.

William leaves behind his loving and devoted sister Dorothy A. Adamo and husband Frank W. Adamo Sr. Nephews Frank W. Adamo Jr. and wife Julie Adamo of Rockland, Michael A. Adamo Lopez and husband Edwin A. Lopez of Kissimmee. Great Uncle to William B. Adamo and wife Crystal Adamo, Samantha N. Adamo and fiance Cory Jones. Great Great Uncle to "the little devil" Casey James Adamo.

After graduating from Rockland High School in 1959, Bubba worked as a meat cutter for Stop and Shop for 47 years after then retiring in 2004. Bubba was a lifelong member of the Eagles, Golden Eagle status. He was an avid sports fan. Baseball and the Red Sox being his favorite, however, the Bruins, Patriots, and Celtics follow closely behind. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday May 11, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 S. Union Street, Rockland. The service and burial will be held Wednesday May 12, 2021 at 9:00 am at the Funeral Home and procession to Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Rockland.
