Obituary For William “Bill” Shallies
William (Bill) Shallies, 73, of Sebastian FL., originally of Rockland MA., passed suddenly on Saturday, February 10th. With an infectious laugh and booming voice, Bill was the biggest presence in any room he entered. His quick wit and sense of humor were second-to-none. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed. Bill was a devoted member of the Sebastian Elks Lodge #2714 where he spent time with friends and loved ones, served as Exalted Ruler for 4 years and trustee for 3 years. Bill retired from the Rockland Police Department after 34 years of duty. He achieved the rank of Sargent, was a proud member of the honor guard, and helped to plan and build the police station that was completed in 2000. Bill is survived by his daughter Jennifer Barry, her husband Joe and grandsons Joseph, Joshua, and Justin, his son Micheal Shallies and his wife Jessica, and his son William Shallies and grandson Nolan.
The Shallies Family wishes to invite family and friends to celebrate William's life on Monday March 4, from 4p.m. to 7p.m. at Magoun Biggins Funeral Home. 135 Union Street, Rockland Ma, 02370.

To the family members of Bill Shallies, sorry for the loss of your loved one. Bill was totally devoted to his career as a police officer. In fact, I think he would have stayed longer if he could have after turning age 65. He was proud that he never took a sick day in his many years as a police officer. I am glad he got to enjoy his retirement life in Florida with his many new friends.
