Wally was one of the kindest and caring men I've ever met with a great sense of humor. He gave great hugs and always had a positive spin on things. Whenever I'm having a hard time, I'll think of what he often said, "Do I want to be right or do I want to be happy?" I often would tease him about his shorts and lack of socks in the winter months. He will be missed.

My Sweet Bonus Dad, I could never have imagined when you walked through the doors of The Donut Shop in Avon, back in 1976, you would change my life and my Family's life forever, for the better. You came in for lunch everyday and we instantly became friends. You always had a smile on your face and made me laugh and Never complained when I would over cook your lunch! About four years later you started coming back for your afternoon coffee and I realized it wasn't for the coffee, you were flirting with my Mom! You two quickly became an item and you fit right in to our family. You brought us all Joy, made us laugh and very happy. Everytime I see anything lime green, or a scully cap, or an electric carving knife, or a jelly stix (sugar or not) I will smile and think of you. You have been such an inspiration for me in my life with so much Courage, Grace and Dignity right to the end. I miss you so much Wal. I will carry you forever in my heart. Love, Your Bonus Daughter, Jo xo
