Obituary For Walter D. Atkins
Walter D. “David” Atkins of Rockland passed from his life on Earth on Tuesday April 16th at the CareOne Skilled Nursing Facility of Weymouth Ma.
David was born June 28, 1941. Where he spent most of his life in Boston. He was a graduate of Dorchester High, Class of 1959. David spent several year in the U.S. Army later becoming a member of numerous Veteran organizations. He worked and retired as a Union Bricklayer. He shared in his brothers’ love of fishing as well as his betting of sports. David lived out his remaining years in Rockland, Ma.
David preceded in death by his Parents W. Kenneth Atkins and Sally Atkins. His siblings William H. Atkins, Robert V. Atkins, Phillip Atkins, Sherille J. Beers, N. Kenneth Atkins and Don F. Atkins.
David was survived by his two sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Cossette and Katherine R Berry. He will also be missed by a long list of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and Friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s name can be made to your local V.A. Association or The American Legion of Abington.
