In Loving Memory of Virginia “Ginny” Overbeck

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia “Ginny” Overbeck, a beloved hometown girl from Rockland, Massachusetts. Born in Brockton, MA, Ginny passed away at the age of 79 at Old Colony in Abington, MA. She was surrounded by family and friends before her passing, finding comfort in their love and presence.

Ginny was known for her warmth and generosity, always shining at family gatherings, whether it was a holiday celebration or a backyard cookout. Pinney, cousins Ellen Austin Linn and Angela Austin Curry formally of Rockland Ma, and her fiancé Erich Kieffer as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

She will be forever remembered for the warmth she shared, her love of family, and the many cherished moments she created with those who were lucky enough to know her.

To Ginny's Family, I have come to enjoy seeing Ginny at mass at Holy Family over these many years. She was always friendly and warm. May she be enjoying God's loving comfort face to face. May your memories bring you peace and comfort. God bless. Fondly, Kathleen Botelho Kawa (Holy Family 10:00 Choir)

Aunt Ginny was very wonderful. I have so many special memories of her. She babysat me as a child. She was always so special to me. I treasure the phone conversations I had with her in the last few years. But was the most important to me was that she told my mother, her sister, that she had accepted Jesus as her Savior. She admitted she was a sinner and asked Jesus to forgive her. In fact, after she passed, I saw spiritually, my parents welcoming her into heaven!
