Obituary For Vincent J. DelPrete Sr

Vincent J. DelPrete Sr, 77 a long time resident of Rockland MA, passed away on June 21, 2023. Born in Brockton MA, to parents Joseph F. DelPrete and Antionette (Umbrianna) DelPrete on March 2, 1946.
Vincent worked over half his life at General Dynamics at Quincy Shipyard until 1985, he had many occupations including working for Don Robbins Furniture in Rockland, as well as working for the Tedeschi Company. In Vincent's early years he was a volunteer for the Rockland Little League for 20 years and volunteered with Troop 57 Boy Scouts.

Vincent would never miss his son Vinny's games or practices. He was known to enjoy a game of Risk or two at Foxwoods. Vincent enjoyed weekends away and going antiquing. Vincent was a very proud cat owner.
Vincent will now be joining his wife Carol Ann (Fucillo) DelPrete who passed away in 2014. Vincent was the loving father to Vincent Jr of Bridgwater. Proud and loving grandfather to Giovanna, Bella and Olivia DelPrete all of Quincy. Brother to the Late Dominic DelPrete, Angela Gallagher of East Bridgewater and Mary Jo Franey of Abington.

The DelPrete Family welcomes friends and family to celebrate Vincent's life on Monday June 26, at Magoun Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland MA from 5-8, A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday June 27, at Holy Family Church, 403 Union St. Rockland at 9AM, following a burial at Holy Family Cemetery, 92 Centre Ave Rockland.

    Dearest Vinny. I am so deeply sorry for your family's loss...I have so many memories of Mr D. & Your mom...I remember meeting them...your mom was very sweet and your dad scared me at first...my memories from School St - Than Summer st.Your dad spoke about you and his Beautiful Granddaughters.His pride and joy. We shared many Stories from past to present. I learned alot from him..He always gave me his Honest Opinion. I will miss him very much. I will also miss his Cat..Thinking of you and your Girls.     I'm sorry to hear of Vinnie's passing. I worked in the funeral business with Vinnie for like 15 years. He had a heart of gold. We had many lunches together and he always talked about his son and granddaughters. May he Rest in Piece. Alan Strondak
