Obituary For Vicky-Lynn Taylor
Vicky-Lynn (Skillin) Taylor, of Lecanto, FL formerly of Rockland, May 24, 2007 Age 63. Wife of the late Paul R. Taylor, Jr. Mother of Paul R. Taylor, III of Abington, Rob E. Taylor of Middleboro and Mellissa M. Wells of Salem, NH. Sister of Melanie Pina of MI and Elise Gardner of Kingston. Grandmother of Joseph P. Taylor, Douglas R. Taylor and Matthew B. Taylor. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service on Saturday, June 2nd at 10:00 AM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. ROCKLAND. Calling hours on Friday, June 1st from 5-8 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice House of Citrus County, 3350 W. Audubon Park Path, Lecanto FL. 34461 www.hospiceofcitruscounty.org. Vicky-Lynn died at the Hospice House of Citrus County, Lecanto Fl where she had served others while employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late H. Merle and Pauline (Grant) Skillin and was raised and educated in Rockland. She was a member of the Rockland High School class of 1961. She received an associate's degree from the Boston School of Dental Medicine and she later worked for several years as a dental assistant in Quincy. While raising her family, Mrs. Taylor worked at the Channing Unitarian Church in Rockland as a secretary, producing the church communications. She also was the secretary and the treasurer at her own church, Trinity Episcopal Church of Rockland. Vicky was also an active member of the Altar Guild at Trinity. Vicky later moved on into the work force serving as a mammography technician at the Faulkner Hospital working closely with Dr. Sagoff and the cancer treatment and prevention team at the hospital. She later served as a travel and meetings coordinator at the Research Lab of Electronics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has made her home in Florida since 2000. Rev. Donald T. Isaac will officiate at the services with burial next to her husband, to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Rockland.
