Obituary For Todd J. Skellett

Todd J Skellett, age 46, passed away suddenly on Friday October 9, 2020. He was born in Weymouth MA 1974, to Gary and Maryann Skellett. Todd was raised in Rockland, graduated from high school and later entered into the Army National Guards. After leaving the Guards he worked until his passing as a Construction Laborer and member of local 223.

Todd lived in Watertown MA with his long time companion Ann Dirr where they enjoyed their cats Augustus and Bella, golfing, skiing, watching movies, playing Wii and travel. Most noted their trip to Puerto Rico where he enjoyed snorkeling and swimming in waterfalls of the El Yunque Rain Forest. Todd also genuinely enjoyed spending time with Ann's family sharing stories and laughs over home cooked meals. He enjoyed daily visits with her mom bringing shared companionship for each other.

Todd was a warm soul who was friendly, kind, and thoughtful living life to the fullest. He had numerous and varied interests in life which brought him great happiness. Todd was a noted history buff and always appreciated living in Massachusetts surrounded by historical sites. He loved listening to music, Van Halen and Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few. He enjoyed watching sports, most noted he loved football and his Patriots. He also enjoyed playing golf, skiing, enjoying nature and he absolutely loved the ocean! Todd had many fond memories of Wells Beach, Maine where he spent many summer vacations as a child. Most importantly Todd loved his family and friends, spending time reminiscing about old stories and enjoying laughs which brought him much joy.

He is survived by his parents Gary and Maryann Skellett of Florida, brother Gary Skellett of Maine, sister Kimberly Thurlow of New York, and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many other relatives that have remained dear to him. Predeceased family members who always remained in his heart and memory.

    My deepest condolences to the Skellett family, Gary and Kim I'm so sorry to hear. I had the first pleasure of knowing Todd for many years. Saved my life when I got caught in a rip Tide at Humarock beach. I'll never ever forget that and always have a special place in my heart for this wonderful man..Rest in peace buddy we will meet again
