Obituary For Theodore G. Drummond
Theodore Grey Drummond ("Teddy") of Wareham, former longtime resident of Hanover, age 80, died in his home on Sunday, March 12, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Kerwin) Drummond, to whom he was married for 54 years.
Mr. Drummond was the son of the late Roderick and Edith (Greenwood) Drummond. He was born in Milton and raised in Quincy, a 1954 graduate of Quincy High School. Mr. Drummond served in the United Stated Army and also worked for several years at the Quincy Fore River Shipyard.
Mr. Drummond studied engineering at Northeastern University. For the majority of his respected career, he was employed as Quality Assurance Manager of Engineering at Charles T. Main Company in Boston.
A talented carpenter and craftsman, Mr. Drummond also enjoyed golfing, boating, bird watching, and crossword puzzles. His two favorite places were his residences on the lake at White Island Pond in Wareham and the beach in Boca Raton, Florida. More than anything, Mr. Drummond enjoyed spending time with his cherished family and many friends, always sharing his cigars, bourbon, and wonderful, witty sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Drummond is survived by his three children: Theodore G. Drummond Jr. and his wife Julie of North Attleboro, Laurel A. Finger and her husband James of Westboro, and Christopher E. Drummond and his wife Franziska of Middleboro; seven grandchildren: Daniel Finger, Theodore Drummond III, Jillian Finger, William Drummond, Adam Drummond, Lieselotte Drummond, and Christopher Drummond Jr.; two brothers: Roderick G. Drummond Jr. and his wife Jane of AL and David S. Drummond and his wife Helene of VA; two brothers-in-law: Edward J. Kerwin Jr. and his wife Kay of AZ and John F. Kerwin and his wife Cathie of RI; and several nieces and nephews.
The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Teddy's life on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church in Hanover. Burial will follow at the Hanover Center Cemetery.
Donations in Mr. Drummond's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The Humble Words Of One Who Cares
There are no words that man can speak of comfort at this time,
The horror of reality will crush the sweetest rhyme.
But, love is one emotion that no loss can 'er deprive,
So, I pray that you will find the strength to keep that love alive.
You'll find in time, the tragic hours that haunted you in grief,
Will succumb to loving memories you'll cherish in relief.
And the humble words of one who cares will pass like summer's breeze,
For in God's hands you'll find the peace to help your heart's pain ease. -
