Obituary For Theodore A. Pearson
Theodore "Ted" A. Pearson Sr., 88 of Rockland. Died on January 7, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 31, 1930 in Quincy to the late Robert and Ellen (Johnson) Pearson. He was raised and educated in Abington and was a member of the graduating class of 1948. Ted was the loving husband of Mary C. (Dugan) Pearson.
Ted was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. After the military Ted worked as a General Superintendent for the Bechtel Corporation. He retired in 1987 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Local #51 Pipe Fitters and Plumbers Union and a lifetime member of the Abington VFW.
Along with his wife Mary, Ted was the loving father of David Pearson of Plymouth, William Pearson of California, Mary Anne Heslin of Carver, Paul Pearson of Lousiana, Ellen Tinsley of Mississippi, Kathleen Dorman of Indiana, Maureen Shea of Rockland, Eric Pearson of North Carolina, the late Stephen Pearson and Theodore Pearson Jr. Ted is survived by his nineteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is pre deceased by his grandson Christopher Heslin and his brother Bernard Pearson of Hanover. Also surviving him are several nieces and nephews.
The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Friday January 11, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Holy Family Parish - 403 Union St, Rockland, MA 02370

Mary I know this I a great loss to you and your family. I also worked with Ted and a lot of your family at the Grand Gulf project and Ted was a very KEY member of that being a huge success. I worked close with Steve as well. Ted never mentioned that he was a Korean war vet as I still have an uncle MIA in that one. Ted thank you for your service!

I AM GREATLY SADDENED BY HIS PASSING. I CAME TO KNOW AND RESPECT TED ON THE GRAND GULF PROJECT FROM 1978 TO 1982. I will forever miss his smile. I pray for God to bless you with comfort and peace during this difficult time. Mary and kids I know this is a hard time for all of you, but in time your grief will give way to all the Love and joy this amazing man brought into your life.I was lucky enough to have know Ted for my whole life and i have only respect and admiration for this great man. Ted was the kind of man all men should aspire to be.He was smart ,kind,fair ,extremely hard working and most of all A Great Husband, Farther, grandfather and friend. As a kid growing up in the neighborhood i new him as Mr Pearson this great man who was always kind and giving to the kids in the neighborhood someone you could count on if you needed anything.Later in Life as i grew older he became Ted my friend someone when i traveled back to see my mom i looked forward to visiting with and talking about all kinds of subjects.I was just back and iam so greatful i got to visit with Ted and Mary.I will truley miss my visits with this wonderful man.
