Obituary For Theodora Lutes

Theodora (Mucci) Lutes, of Rockland, April 27, 2007, Age 86. Wife of the late Thomas J. Marino and William L. Lutes II. Mother of Edmund K. Lutes of Arlington, Ellen F Mortimer (Lutes) and her Husband Gary of Rockland, Nicholas R. Marino of Rockland, Thomas A. Marino and his Wife Mildred of Michigan, Francis C. Marino and his Wife Karen of Texas, John T. Lutes of Revere, and Marie C. McDonald of Rockland, and the late William L. Lutes III. Sister of Celia Mucci, and Olga Sinatra both of East Boston. Also Survived by 16 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service was held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland. Theodora died on Friday at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born in Buffalo New York Daughter of the late Frank and Mary Mucci. Mrs. Lutes worked for 27 years at the Bradley's Warehouse in Braintree before retiring in 1986. Theodora also held several other jobs in her lifetime including working at the Stride-Rite Corp. in Boston, Raytheon in Quincy, and even spent time working at a Mug and Muffin. Mrs. Lutes Loved to play Bingo with friends at the VFW in Abington, as well as taking trips to Mohegan Sun whenever possible to play. She was an avid reader who would read anything she could get her hands on. Theodora also enjoyed computer games such as Yazi and Scrabble. Mrs. Lutes loved her two Dachshunds Max and Ginger. More than anything though, Mrs. Lutes loved spending time with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She was described by her family as a devoted mother and the matriarch of the family.
