A long lost cousin through the O'Connells pays tribute. Martha Langill sent me the link. My mother,Doris, was Jean Strassel's first cousin. God bless all Susan's loved ones.

I don't have words for the ache left by Susan's passing. There are only so many words to express the love. I'll miss the special bond, the giggles over the dogs and the kids and their friends...I'll miss it all. Who said it? "You don't 'get over' losing your sister. You just get used to it." Shannon? I am so sorry for your loss.. She was great person. She used to bring in the bags of candy and leave it at the end of the lane.. yum yum. and she would eat her cheese it. and when they cleaned the machines they found them in the machines. HEEHEE. Take care .

My prayers are with all my cousins in this time of loss. The video tribute was beautiful. It brought back many happy memories of sailing and summer vacations spent visiting our Strassell family.

My family's deepest sympathy and condolences to Susan's family. We are all shocked that she was taken so early in life and I have personally spent days trying to come up with the words that would blunt her family's pain. Alas there is nothing I could say or do that would help them during this time of great sorrow. The one thought I have is that there is no more pain for her. She has been reunited with her mother and father now. How joyful it must have been during that reunion. She now waits for us to return home as we all will one day. Fairwell cousine Susan we love and miss you already. God rest your soul.

My thoughts and payers are with all my Strassell cousins and their families during this most difficult time.

We are friends of the Richard Strassel family and I worked with Dick as a piping designer. We also had 8 children and visited with the Strassels in Houston many times. We attended the fumerals of Susan's Mom & Dad in Houston. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends, especially Kathy Strassell, our dear friend in Houston.

I met Susan when she visited her sister, Kathy, a couple of years ago. I remember her as fun-loving, and was so sorry to learn of her untimely death. My thoughts and prayers go out to her immediate and extended family.

I found it so appropriate that the sun has shined and the temperature warmed, the time for planting has come upon us just as Sue has made her way to a more peaceful place. The following reminds me of Sue and I wanted to share-it brought me to tears as it filled my heart with wonderful memories: Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took God's hand when I heard the call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendshop shared, a laugh, a kiss. Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me- God wanted me now, God set me free.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. I have worked with Sue at W.G. for many years. She was a very honest, fun loving person. Sue will be missed.

I worked with Sue for a lot of years.We hung at breaks in the smoking area. Shared many laughs and gardening tips. Sue's garden can be seen driving by rt 123. I have a piece of Sue's flowers that are comming up now. My prayers are with You Dave, Shannon, and David Jackie J.

Growing up with Sue and her family was a blessing. She was a very wise, honest, and loving woman who always stayed true to herself. Her love of her beauty in her garden was a reflection of her love for people and life. I know that the flowers that grow this and every season will be living tribute to her.
