Obituary For Steven S. Scartissi-Kemp

Steven S. Scartissi-Kemp, 34 of Rockland died unexpectedly on December 23, 2017. He was born in Boston and was raised and educated in Rockland graduating from Rockland High School in 2001.

He loved music and played guitar in numerous bands in the region, Steven enjoyed skateboarding and loved being in nature while hiking and trailwalking.

"Kempa" is survived by his son Damien M. Scartissi and and his sons Mom, Shannon Kilburn of Plymouth. He was the son of Lisa Duggan and her husband David of Rockland and Scott Scartissi and his wife Maureen of Buzzards Bay. He was the grandson of Alan Kemp of Weymouth and the late Donna Kemp-O'Connor and Robert and Lynda Scartissi of Abington. He is also survived by his sisters Kelsey Caulfield of Rockland and Elizabeth Scartissi of Buzzards Bay.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Friday December 29, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday December 30, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church. After cremation, Bbrial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rockland. Donations in his memory may be made to "Rockland Cares."

    Steve will be missed he was a great employee over the last 5 plus years. Never ever complained or gave anyone grief. Always a smile and happy to do whatever it took to great the job done. We never got to see his personal life and I wish I did after going to his wait and funeral. Glad I got to know Steve he will be missed at work. Rest in peace. Kris Johnson
