Obituary For Steven K. Anders

Steven (Steve) Kennedy Anders, passed away on June 21st 2023 at the age of 70 in Rockland, MA. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with dignity. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the intense love of family and friends.

Born in Quincy, MA to parents Edward C. Anders and Barbara (Alexander) Anders in 1952. Steve attended Braintree Public Schools and Blue Hills Regional Vocational High School. Following graduation in 1970, Steve went into the printing industry and later started his own Printing business, New England Graph Techs located in Woban, MA.

Steve had many interests that filled his life with pure joy. His love of reading, especially Stephen King novels, spending summers at the beach, boating with his cousin George, traveling with family and friends, playing bocce and star gazing on a clear night were among his favorite activities. Steve was an avid sports fan and loved spending time at the shooting range with his buddy, Greg.

Steve shared his love of classic cars with his good friend Pep. Steve loved his home and took immense pride in building his first home in Rockland. He loved to spend time caring for his beautiful yard, opening his pool and enjoying it with his young neighbors Gavan, Ronan and Shea.

Steve shared his love of golfing with his Grandfather who was the Caddie Master at The Country Club in Brookline, MA. Steve and his family Marshalled in many Anders Alumni golf tournaments which afforded him the opportunity to participate in The Ryder Cup and US Open Tournaments.

Steve loved his two furry companions, Lizzy and Molly and we are comforted in believing they are reunited again.

Steve was a “jack of all trades”; there was nothing he could not do! If there were a friend or family in need, Steve was the first to help.

Steve was a warm hearted man who exemplified respect and compassion. He lived his life with Integrity and Love. Steve will leave an enduring mark on all who knew him and will be missed by so many. Friends and Family will honor his legacy by remembering him and living their lives to the fullest.

Steve was a loving, devoted and compassionate husband to his wife Cynthia Panselinas Anders and the devoted and unwavering father to his son, Dylan Ryan Anders.

Our deepest condolences to Cindy, Dylan and the entire family. Diane and I will always treasure our time spent with Steve, Cindy and the "Westfield roomies" over these many years. So many good times and memories! We will miss his dry wit, our times at the beach, our sports conversations, especially his stories of caddying and the golf tournaments at The Country Club. Seeing Steve at the Open last summer in all his glory as a Marshall was truly special knowing how much he loved the family history and just being there. God's speed Steve - top down, pedal to the medal. Love to you all - Diane and Greg Hart

Steven was a great person, husband, father and brother-in-law. He was always a calming force no matter the situation. I don't think there was anything Steven could not do (except maybe get his firestick working LOL). He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and especially me. I can not thank you enough for everything you helped me with over the years. We had plenty of laughs on the golf courses, family get togethers and my wonderful 2 years being a resident at the Anders Inn :). Steven i could go on and on about you. You will be sorely missed by everyone who knew you. I hope you are now at peace and pain free. Love You very much brother. ---- Nick Panselinas aka Your Life Coach 💗

I remember the great times we had when we were very young. We always wanted to hang out with our Uncle Steven. I'll never forget the time we made my class video of baking cookies and my being "Chef Jeff". Steven was always calm and I looked up to him as an uncle and the time he gave to Alex, Kim, and I.. He took me golfing at Strawberry Valley when I was new to the game of golf. He loves Cindy and Dylan so much and now protects them from above. I know he is no longer in pain a joined with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God saves the best Chevelles and Harleys for Heaven. I know you are enjoying it up there! Thank you for so many positive memories!! Love your nephew, Jeff. Than
