Obituary For Stephen E Hackett

Stephen Hackett, of Rockland, MA, passed away January 24, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Stephen was born on September 20, 1962. Loving son of Ann Crowley and step-son of the late John Crowley of Rockland, MA. He leaves behind his significant other, Suzanne Edsall of Rockland. Loving brother of David Hackett and Michael Hackett of Rockland, James Hackett of Pembroke, Debra Hackett of Dover, NH, and the late Donna Hackett of Rockland.

He was known as Uncle Steve to David Hackett Jr, Jordan McDonald, and Larry Hackett all of Rockland, Bobby Hackett of Falmouth, Rene Hackett of Duxbury, Lauren Hackett and Michael Norkus of Pembroke, Seamus Kidney of Berwick, ME, Ceili Kidney of South Berwick, ME, Krystal Hackett of Scituate, and Bryan Norkus of Orlando, Florida.

Stephen could be seen riding his pink bicycle throughout Rockland. He loved Boston sports, card night, scratch tickets, fishing, and any and all beaches. He read two to three newspapers daily especially the Boston Herald. His favorite saying was "I'll settle out of court!"

He was loved by so many and will be remembered for his sense of humor and outgoing personality. He will especially be missed by the Messier family. Stephen's family welcomes all to the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home in Rockland on Thursday, January 30th, 2020 from 4:00-600 PM.

    Very sad to hear of Stephen's passing. It was a long time ago but we were Midget-PeeWee football teammates. Many happy memories from that time. God Bless.
