Obituary For Shirley M. Bryson
Shirley Mae Bryson, 88, of Rockland, died on August 19, 2014 at the Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center. She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late John and Doris (Carleton) Coughlin. She was raised and educated in Brockton graduating from St. Patrick's High School in 1943.
Shirley was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren and always smiled listening to the stories they had to share with her. She was always waiting for their arrival with some type of goody to share. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and sharing in their happiness.
Shirley loved to travel in her younger years. More recently, she enjoyed going out for dinner and was always eager to try a new restaurant in the area. Shirley was always playing pranks on her loved ones showing us her love of life and humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Shirley was the wife of the late Roland "Wally" Bryson. She is survived by her sons, Donald Brine of Rockland, and Kevin Bryson of Sebago, ME and her sister, Elizabeth Spera of Rockland. Also survived by 5 Grandchildren, Danielle Dunn, Lee Buchanan, Rebecca Mahoney, Rachel Neil and Donald Brine, 10 Great Grandchildren, and one Great Great Grandchild.
Mrs. Bryson's Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be held in the Spring Lake Cemetery. Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland is honored to serve Shirley and her family. For directions or to leave a memory on Shirley's Tributes Page, please visitwww.magounbiggins.com

Donnie and Kevin, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Shirley and Wally were great friends to my mom and dad growing up on Myrtle St. She was always so nice to me when I was over your house and delivering your newspaper. A wonderful person and a wonderful mother. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
