Shirley A (Nelson) Hill a long-time resident of Rockland died February 17, 2023 at Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood MA. Daughter of the late Oscar Nelson and Ina (Erickson) Nelson.

Ms. Hill was raised in Braintree and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Weymouth. She was also a Home Health aide for many years. She was the wife of the late Ernest E. Hill of Rockland. She raised 3 children, Edward E Hill of Bridgewater Maine, Donna M. Melsky of Plainville and Steven R Hill of Rockland.

She also is survived by 3 grandchildren, Lynae Conley of N. Attleboro, Ashlee Rafeld of N. Easton, Rebecca Hill of Rockland, and the late Edward Hill Jr and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are her two brothers Eric Nelson of Kingston and Phillip Nelson of Braintree along with several nieces and nephews.

Shirley’s family welcomes relatives and friends to celebrate her life at a visitation at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland on February 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held February 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery following the service.
