Ruth E. (Higgins) Lincoln, 91 of Rockland. Ruth was a homemaker, secretary at Frazier's Department Store in Brockton, and a Tupperware Dealer. She died on July 20, 2019 at the Pat Roche Hospice House of Hingham after a brief illness. Born in Brockton and was raised and educated there as well. She was a 1946 graduate of Brockton High School.

Ruth was an active member of the Robert J. Nyman Rockland Senior Center and the Wanas Group. Over the years, Ruth was very involved with many organizations including: Secretary of Stetson Kindred of America Norwell, Friends of the Rockland Senior Citizens, Hanover Senior Center Bingo Caller, Red Hats Society, Timber Lanes Couples Bowling League, Volunteer at the Rockland Library as well as the Marshfield Fair, and she would often sit and care for the elderly.

Many hobbies that Ruth enjoyed were Foxwoods Resort and Casino, Bingo, Friends Sewing Group, quilting, reading, church outings/gatherings, and listening to music. Ruth and Gordon traveled to Hawaii, Austria, Switzerland, Alaska, Colorado and many other U.S. states.

Wife of the late Gordon A. Lincoln, daughter Diana R. Stanley, husband William of Parachute, CO, son Gordon W. Lincoln, wife Linda of E. Bridgewater, daughter Susan J. Lincoln of Stafford Springs, CT, son John A. Lincoln, wife Gail of Pembroke. Her late sister Amy Bumpus of Brockton and late sister-in-law Barbara Johns. Ruth was very proud to say that she had 13 grandchildren starting with Heather, the late Melissa Beth, Jim, Tracey, Gordie, Corey, Chad, Shawn, Michael, Melody, Donald George, Matthew and Michael. She had 16 Great-grandchildren beginning with Isaac, Aislyn, Dylan, Liam, Isla, Bailey, Cameron, Kaila, Kyle, Gabrielle, Donte, Gia and Luke.

The Lincoln family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Ruth's life in The Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. in Rockland on Thursday July 25, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday July 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Church Hill United Methodist Church, 11 Church Street Norwell. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Rockland. Memorial donations may be made to Ruth's choices: Veteran's Administration of Rockland, Church Hill United Methodist Church, Hospice of the South Shore or the Pat Roche Hospice House of Hingham.
