Obituary For Russell L. Quackenbush

Russell L. Quackenbush, of Rockland , January 1, 2007 Age 60. Husband of Martha E. (Card) Quackenbush. Father of William J. Quackenbush and his wife Lisa of Rockland, Russell D. Quackenbush and his wife Stacy of CA and Beth A. DeFilippo and her husband Christopher of Rockland. Brother of Walter J. Quackenbush of Rockland. Grandfather of Alex Quackenbush, Jadzia Quackenbush, Conor Quackenbush, Esabella DeFilippo and Anthony DeFilippo. . Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Russell died at his home early on Monday morning surrounded by his family. He was born in Boston, son of the late Walter J. and Gladys L. (Beal) Quackenbush and was raised and educated in Rockland. He was a self employed master carpenter for many years and later worked at Travi Construction Co. in Norwell for seven years before retiring due to illness in 2003. Russell was a member of the Carpenters and Joiners Union Local #424. He was also a member of the Braintree Pistol and Rifle Club and enjoyed participating in Wood Carving classes through the Rockland Public Schools Adult Education Division.
