Obituary For Roy Logan

Roy was born in Watertown August 28, 1935. Son of the late Herbert Logan and Rose (Landy) Logan.
Roy was raised and educated in Allston, graduating from Brighton High School in 1952.He began a career in book printing and publishing with retirement from AddisonWesleyLongman in 1999. He married Margaret( Peggy) Brown of Abington, MA September 11, 1955 and the two were married for 63 years.
They had two children, John Logan of Wareham, MA and Donna ( Logan) Henry of Whitinsville, MA. Grandchildren include Adam Logan of Warwick, RI, Amanda Beausoleil of Putnam, CT, Erin Lawrence of Pawtucket, RI, Matthew Henry of Whitinsville, MA, Robbin Maloney of Hanson, MA, Kristen Hanson of Taunton, MA. Also surviving are eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Roy was an active amateur radio operator (ham) with the call sign KB1CYV and served as Past Secretary of both the Whitman Amateur Radio Club and the Massasoit Amateur Radio Association. He also was a past member of the Army National Guard 26 Yankee Infantry Division.

Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate Roy’s life on Saturday January 28, 2023 from 9:00-11:00 AM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Abington.
