Roseria Alma (Fein) Merrifield, 88 of Hanover died on April 22, 2009 at the Harbor House Nursing Home in Hingham. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Edward and Caroline (Gerhardt) Fein and was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Roslindale High school. A Rockland resident for many years, she has made her home in Hanover since 1998. Alma retired as a payroll clerk from the former W.T. Grant’s store in Rockland where she had been employed for many years. She was a strong supporter of the Rockland Defenders Drum and Bugle Corps. Wife of the late earl O. Merrifield, she is survived by her children Joseph R. Merrifield of Plymouth, Lynda M. Burns of FL, Carol L. Merrifield of Rockland and she was the mother of the late Edward A. Merrifield. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday April 27, 2009 in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND.
