Obituary For Rose Sullivan
Rose Anne Sullivan of Rockland died unexpectedly on January 15. Rose, Rosie, Rosebud burst into this world 30 years ago full of life, smiles, happiness and the wonderful gift to make everyone she encountered laugh. Rose attended Holy Family School, Rockland High School then bravely joined The United States Army. Rose was honorably discharged and at the time her death was a 100% Disabled Veteran.
Our beloved Rose struggled with addiction for many years, however she never gave up hope or stopped trying to live a clean and healthy life. That wasn't the real Rose though. Everyone that knew her felt special after being with her and left with their ribs aching from laughing and always heard her say "I love you Khed!" and get a huge bear hug.
Rose leaves behind broken hearted family. Mark J and Barbara (Byrne) Sullivan, sisters Molly and Bridget Sullivan and nephew Cael Sullivan. Aunts Alice Boyle (Bob), Kathy Scolley (Phil), "Mama" Ruth Byrne, uncle Walter Byrne (Lisa), Michael Sullivan (Pat), aunt Jane Sullivan. Loving and devoted cousins Katie and Rob Boyle, Lily, Anna, and Bob Christie, Joe Scolley, Lisa and Brian Byrne. And her best friend Julie Worden who never gave up on her.
Rose was preceded in death by her grandparents Barbara and Walter Byrne, Joan Sullivan. Uncles Bob Christie and Neil Sullivan. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Father Bills Place in Quincy or New England Center and Home for Veterans (Women Veterans Homeless Shelter). 17 Court St. Boston.
Services will be private due to Covid.

To the entire Sullivan family, I am so sorry for your loss. I lived with Rose in Cambridge late 2014 to early 2015. She got me through some very hard times and showed me how strong I really could be. No matter how upset I was, she could always make me laugh, almost so hard that my ribs felt broken and she gave me my house nickname Glasses Katie. The world definitely lost a very special person and I will always remember her beautiful soul. She had such a huge heart and I am sure she will always be in all your hearts.

To such a wonderful family. God bless Rose and all of you. I know the faith of your family and that the love and trust you have in Christ will get you through the times ahead.
