Rose C. Megathlin, of Florida died on October 18 at the JFK Hospice Center in Atlantis Florida. She was born in Rockland, daughter of the late Rose (Hines) and Martin Keough. Rose was raised and educated in Rockland. Mrs. Megathlin worked during World War II as a munitions worker at the national Fireworks Factory in Hanover MA. Later Rose spent time working at Kings Department Store in Hyannis. She married her beloved late husband L. Gordon Megathlin on August 24, 1958 in Dundalk MD. Rose and Gordon lived for many happy years together in Dennisport MA before retiring to Lantana Florida. The couple loved to travel together. They were called World Travelers by their family. Rose is survived by her dear sister Mary Keough of Rockland, and her dear brother George Keough of East Bridgewater. Mrs. Megathlin was also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at the Melrose Cemetery in Brockton on Wednesday October 24 at 11:00 AM. Calling Hours will be held in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Tuesday October 23 from 4-7 PM.
