Dear Bobby and Cheryl, I, too, spent many of my summer vacation hours with your Dad. The Pompei boys were on one side and my sister, brother and I were on the other, at 81 Lakeview. My fondest memory is going for short trips around town in his little , white sports car with the top down. What fun !! I actually think we were usually headed to the town dump, of all places ! It didn't matter to me, I was pretty cool riding in that car with one GREAT man. He obviously made a lasting impression with the neighborhood kids. I am proud to have known such a wonderful man. God Bless your Dad. Sincerely, Nancy (McGowan) Desrosiers and Family (Liz, Karen & Jim) Windham, NH

To all of the summers with Bob I spent as a child wishing they would never end because Bob made them so much fun. All the camping trips to Prudence Island each and every memory held dear in my heart. Except the one time Bob tried to save my shirt from blowing away and ended up Fire walking in bare feet OUCH! Jeanne I also remember yours and Bob's generosity during our trip to your home in NH. You and Bob took care of 6 people, made sure we had plenty of fun stuff to do, and you cooked every spectacular meal. All though we have not seen one an other in several years I can honestly say that not a day went by that I did not think of Bob, and what our relationship meant to me. Bob took an often lost young man me, and gave me purpose, always a great place to go, and more fun times I could have ever imagined. Robert you will truly be missed. I remember when you held Nicholas for the first time and said in that deep voice of yours "What a good looking kid". You looked at Cheryl and I and said "You guys did a good job!" I could see it in your eyes how proud you were of Cheryl. I'm so grateful to you for raising such a wonderful women and I look forward to seeing you again sometime. May you rest in peace. Grumpa, Thank you for telling me that I'm the best kid ever. Your the best Grumpa I ever had in the whole wide world. I love you.

Dear Jeanne, Bobby and Cheryl, my sincerest condolences are with all of you. Although I have not seen Bob in at least the last 10 years or so I can definitely affirm what a great loss this is to all of us. Bob was my second dad growing up, without a doubt, he would take care of all of us kids, especially the young Pompei boys all through the summer. I always had a great time with him no matter what we were doing. I remember the first time deep sea fishing, my father had just got his 20 foot cabin cruiser wooden with a Johnson motor, while Bob was an Evinrude man with the fiberglass boat. It being my first time out I got see sick. All can remember is Bob catching one fish after another and singing to each one he caught while I had the dry heaves over the side of the boat. Bob always had a good time no matter what he was doing. As years passed it was the Evinrude vs. Johnson, Triumph vs. MGB, Ford vs. any GM product and especially Schultz vs. Budweiser were always the subject or great debate between my Bob and my dad. We never really did figure ut which was better for sure. Bob was a great guy, I will always cherish the good times we had.

Sundays watching the Patriots with Dad as a young girl...he would bet me a quarter to "guess" if the next play would be a running or passing play. Dad was the coolest Dad in the neighborhood....always rounding the kids up to go sledding, skating, fishing, drive-ins, camping. Summers on the boat and the island. Weekends in New Hampshire with Dad and Jeanne. Sundays calls doing football picks. You were always the champion Dad! I still owe you 20 bucks...I will pay you back when my brother straightens up....he's a hunchback.

Thanks Jeanne for being the best wife and stepmother. You took care of my Dad the way he wanted to and let him have dignity and respect right to the end. There was always so much love and happiness in your home. We were all blessed to be part of your lives.
