Obituary For Robert M. Henry

Robert M. Henry 78, of Rockland, Died on September 19, 2018 at South Shore Hospital, surrounded by his family, after a period of failing health. Bob was born in Boston, son of the late Harry and Barbara (McDonough) Henry. He was raised and educated in South Boston and was a 1957 graduate of Gate of Heaven High School.

Mr. Henry was a veteran of our Nations Armed Services serving in the U.S. Army as a Helicopter Mechanic during The Korean War. Upon completion of his service to our country, Bob earned his Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University. Mr. Henry worked for 35 years for Xerox before his retirement.

Mr. Henry was dedicated in his faith, and was a daily communicant at Holy Family Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Bob enjoyed music, playing piano, and harmonica. He enjoyed sports, particularly The Patriots.

Bob was the Husband of Ann M. (Kelly) Henry of Rockland. Father of John P. Henry and his Wife Deann of Rockland, Theresa M. Coakley and her Husband Brian of Rockland, Joseph S. Henry and his Wife Sarah of Pembroke, and Robert S. Henry and his Wife Stephanie of Rockland. Brother of the late Hank Henry and his wife Claire, Ralph Henry and his wife Martha, and Donald Henry and his wife Vivianne. Brother in-law to Ellen Coleman and her late husband Richard, and Robert Kelly and his wife Muriel. Lovingly known as "Pop" to his 13 Grandchildren, Christopher, Raven, Stephen, Grace, Caitlyn, John, Faith, Kevin, Meghan, Michael, Hope, Sean, Jacob. Close family friends Dave and Sandra Donnelly of Rockland and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob's life on Sunday September 23, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held in The Holy Family Church on Monday September 24, 2018 at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in The Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland.     Condolences to Ann and the Henry Family. I had the privilege of working with Bob for many years at Xerox. He was a great guy and a pleasure to have known. We missed seeing him at our Monday morning breakfast meetings and will miss him even more now that he is gone.

    Dear Ann, Jack and the rest of the Henry family, please accept my heartfelt condolences, For all the years I have known Bob he was constantly one I could look to for happiness and joy. Bob was so outgoing and easy to love. A kind and patient man for sure. Please find peace in knowing he is in the palm of God's hand.
