Obituary For Robert Larsen
Robert F. Larsen 93 of Rockland formerly of Sandwich died on June 30, 2010 after a period of failing health. Beloved Husband of Helen (Hart) Larsen, he was the son of the late Edwin, and Miriam (Allen) Larsen. Robert was a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, and worked for many years as a Pharmacist and a Researcher for the Arthur D. Little Company. Robert is credited with being responsible for the creation of "instant oatmeal." He also was responsible for creating an automated doughnut making machine, that would be used by Dunkin Donuts. Mr. Larsen was proud to be a very active Rotarian in both Texas and in Sandwich. During his time with Rotary, Robert dedicated countless volunteer hours helping the blind. This was a cause that was truly close to his heart. Mr. Larsen loved dogs, tennis, and spending time with his family. Robert was the wife of the late (please insert first wides name here). Father of Marie Keefe of MD, Peter Larsen or TX, Mark Larsen of Beverly, Robert Larsen of NH, Noelle Larsen of NC, Wendy Cade of TX, Christopher Larsen of FL, Norma Swan of Plymouth, and Carole Cafferky of Somerville. Brother of the late Kenneth Larsen. Also survived by many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. The Larsen family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Roberts life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Monday July 5, 2010 from 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday July 6, 2010 at ---- AM from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND. A Funeral Mass will follow in the Church of the Resurrection in Hingham at ----AM. Burial will take place in the Sandwich Village Cemetery in Sandwich.

Dear Helen and all of Bob's family,I celebrate with you Bob's life. He was such a quiet unimposing man. I wasn't aware of his many talents and accomplishments. You must all feel so fortunate to have had him in your lives , I certainly know I was.. I'm sure the rest of Chaucer St. who knew him felt likewise. Take care Peace to you all. Carolyn Jacobs
