Obituary For Robert L. Wolfe

Robert L Wolfe 91, of Scarborough ME went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2022 at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough ME. Robert was born in Boston Mass on November 3 ,1930 the son of the late Julius Abraham Wolfe and Florence (Jersky) Wolfe. Husband of 58 years to his predeceased wife Ann Davis Wolfe. He is survived by his children Heidi S Hosmer and husband David of Whitman, MA, Ilene D. Delorey of Sanford, ME, Thomas M Wolfe and his wife Terri of Titusville, FL and Cindy Lou Wolfe and her fiancee Philip Newton of Belfast ME. Also his grandchildren Hollie A Hayes and husband Travis, Patrick M Butler and his wife Laura, Jeffrey Robert Delorey and his wife Rossli, Melanie Winters and her husband Matt, Joshua Wolfe and Briaunna Elliott. Great grandchildren Lila Julianne Hayes, Waverly Rae Hayes, Blake Hollister Hayes, Chace Jefferson Delorey, Tressa Seely and Cillian Robert Winters due on June 16th 2022.

Robert enlisted first in the Army and then in the Airforce. Following his service to our country he attended and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston MA. Robert began his teaching career in Warrensburg NY where he was also a volunteer Firefighter. After 2 years he began teaching for Hanover Junior and Senior HIgh School. After retiring from the public school system he taught at the First Baptist Church of Weymouth School. Moving to Maine in 1994. While living in ME he also taught for the Sanford School system. He was a member of the Gideon's planting God's Word throughout ME. He attended High Pine Baptist Church and Curtis Lake Church.

He enjoyed his grandchildren attending football games, cheerleading competitions, dance recitals and going to high school football games. While teaching in Hanover he took students to Russia, Germany, and Italy. He loved his students.

There will be a Memorial Service upcoming.

    What a full and rich life ! We loved Mr Wolfe and loved seeing him supporting students out of the classroom as well. He always had a crowd of students around him wherever he went. He was a much loved teacher. HHS class of 78.

    Very sad to hear... Mr Wolfe will always live in my heart and also the hearts of my siblings...we all are honored to be taught by him...on a lighter side our Greek history Mid term had a question.. What is Italian for "you tore my clothes"? Answer: Euripides From the Mone family HHS classes of 72/77/79/81
