Obituary For Robert E. Hunt
Robert E Hunt 81 of Hattiesburg,Ms. formerly of Rockland died March 3, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Rockland the son of Charles L. and Sarah (Gibbons) Hunt. He served proudly in the Army's 1ST Cavalry-7TH Regiment during WWII. He was a meatcutter for Tedeschi Food and Stop&Shop for 30 years. Bob is survived by his former wife Mildred (Harris) Hunt of Rockland, two daughters, Cheryl Whiting (Lee) of Brewster, Cynthia Walsh (Mike) of Bridgewater, five sons, Dean Hunt of Chatham, Douglas Hunt (Jo-Anne) of Braintree, David Hunt (Susan) of Taunton, Paul Hunt of Hyannis, Donny Hunt (AliceFaye) of Buzzards Bay and a stepson Sean Brophy (Leora) of San Diego, California, 20 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 34 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a Brother-In-Law Warren Najarian of Rockland. Bob preceaded his wife Diane (Hunter) Hunt of Hattiesburg, Ms. who died shortly after on April 7,2010 from cancer. He was the brother of Veronica"Vera"Najarian,Rita Ewell,Edward Gibbons,Charles,John,Henry,Harry and Thomas Hunt. The Hunt family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Roberts life on Sunday May 16,2010 from 3-5 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland .A funeral will be held on Monday May 17, 2010 in Holy Family Church 403 Union St. Rockland at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery on Prospect St. in Rockland.

I have never been able to go into a dough nut shop & not think of my Grampy... ;') I'll always remember Grampy coming over on Sunday mornings when i was a little girl with the box of dough nuts with extra honey dipped (now they call em glazed) my favorite... I love & miss you so much... But I'm so happy your no longer in any pain & you can reunite with your family that has moved on before you.. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
