Obituary For Robert Burrill

Robert “Bobby, Bubba” Eugene Burrill, 70, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2021, in South Weymouth, MA with his loving sister by his side after a period of failing health.

Bobby is survived by his sister Ann (Burrill) Gardner of Rockland, MA, and her husband Peter, nieces Michelle (Burrill) Fiore, Stacy Gardner, Kristen Gardner all of Rockland, Jen (Burrill) Condon of Marshfield, MA, Stephanie Gardner of New York, NY, Lisa Gardner of Chicago, IL, and Katherine Gardner of Rochester, NY; his nephews Peter Gardner of Whitman, MA, Jeffrey and Stephen Gardner both of Rockland, MA; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his loyal fur baby Reggie. He was preceded in death by his mother Ann, father Robert, brother Daniel, and nephews James Burrill, Michael Gardner, and Christopher Gardner. Bobby was born on May 31, 1951, to parents Robert and Ann Burrill of Rockland. He graduated from Rockland High School in 1969 and went on to work for many years as a bartender and painter.

Bobby had a strong love for Boston Sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed making others smile and laugh. He had a love of animals, well, at least he loved Reggie. In his younger days, he was an avid skier and bowler. Bobby enjoyed the tunes of Frank Sinatra and the rest of the rat pack. He often wore a tough outer shell but if you were lucky enough to crack it, he was tremendously caring for those in his inner circle.

A private celebration of life for his family will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at South Shore Hospital and his in-home caregivers for the love and support they showed Bobby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Rockland Cares 10 Daniel Teague Dr Rockland, MA 02370 Rocklandcares.org

Ann, Peter and family, I am so sorry to hear about Bubba (and Danny) passing away. Bubba was a dear friend to me. I will miss his smile, his laugh, and that piercing look he could give you!! We had alot of laughs together over the years and I will miss him. His wings were ready, but our hearts never are. Bubba, fly with the angels, entertain the angels with that sense of humor of yours and know that you will be sadly missed by me. Till we meet again my friend. Xoxo Ann and family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time
