Robert Condon, 87 of Rockland, passed away on February 24, 2015 at the Colonial Nursing Home in Weymouth. Born in Brockton, Ma. May 11, 1927, he grew up in Rockland, graduating from Rockland High School.

Robert is survived by his former wife Joan Stapleton, along with his sons Robert Jr. and Scott. Robert had a third son Craig, who has been deceased since 2003. Robert's brothers Gerald, Richard, and David also survive him.

Robert was a proud Veteran of the United States Army during WWII. He served with the Army Signal Corps in the European Theatre.

After military service, "Bob" returned home and served his community as a Rockland Police Officer for 32 years. He attained the rank of Sergeant shift supervisor for most of his career.

Bob was most passionate about being a dedicated father to his sons. He was also an accomplished licensed pilot with a passion for flying. His remarkable patience and ability to do everything well made him a great role model to his sons, and his entire family.

A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
