There are so many things that we don't understand on this side of the veil, but we can take comfort in knowing that God weeps with us over our loss of Bob and shares in our suffering. For believers, we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, therefore, I believe that Bob has never been more alive than he is face to face with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Though we will forever miss everything about him, we will carry his memory in our hearts knowing that one day we will be with him again along with all of the loved ones who have gone before us. What a joyous reunion it will be! For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes in Him shall not die, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Carol, Diane, and Cheryl, please know that you are held in love and prayer.

There will come a day when the tears of sorrow will softly flow into tears of remembrance.... and your heart will begin to heal itself... and grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy and you will hear whispers of hope. There will come a day when you will welcome the tears of remembrance.... as a sun- shower of the soul... a turning of the tide.. a promise of peace. There will came a day when you will risk loving go on believing and treasure the tears of remembrance! My Thoughts and prayers Love and strength are with you Aunt Carol, Cheryl, Diane and family Uncle Bob you will always be in my heart!!! With Much Love Nancy

I served with Mr. Buotte at Station Point Allerton. He was an outstanding leader. I learned a lot from him that helped me both in my military and civilian careers.

Life is made of memories so life does not end. Bob's sprit and memories of him will never go away for his family and friends. We say "see you later," not good bye. Carol, I can't help but remember you and Bob on your honeymoon, you stopped to visit Jim and I in Westfield on July 20th. Jay was born the 21st. Those Buotte boys used to keep the Coast Guard hopping in the early days with three of them in the same district. My picture of Bob is him eating dinner in West Peru after spending the day at the Elk's Lodge in Rumford. My blessings to all of the family. Sincerely. Janie and Craig

A true friend, brother Mason, great Patriot and fellow Coastie. Bob and I were friends for many years going back to our days together on the USCGC Boutwell. He was a mentor and the truest friend one could ever have. I owe him much for my success in the Coast Guard. My prayers are certainly with his family. I will forever remember his words to me shortly before his passing.

Chief Buotte selected me to serve with the USCG Base Boston Security, in April, 1973. Chief could see more in me than I could see in myself. Chief arranged for several of us to train at the U.S. Air Force Security Police Specialist School. Lackland Air Force Base San Antonio Texas. Well because of Chiefs wisdom, trust, and most important his friendship, I stayed in Law Enforcement. I went on to be a Police Officer, Detective, Patrol Supervisor and on to be Chief of Police in Grantham, N.H. And a graduate of the FBI National Academy, (187th session) Chief and I rebuilt or friendship in the early 1990s and I not only got to thank him for the support in the early years, I got to know him as a friend. How lucky I've been, Two great opportunity’s US Coast Guard and a police career. With loving friendship, from a true shipmate. Thank you Chief!
