Hey Richard, just checking in to say hello. I still miss our kitchen table conversations. You were a good man. I am not sure what you are now, or where you are, but drop in and lets have a ice-cold Coke-a-Cola, and have a talk.

Cathy, my heart broke when I heard about RichieI am so very sorryHope these words can off a little comfort to you Death is the heartache no one can heal, Memories are keepsakes no one can steal. Beautiful memories are all we have left, Of the ones we loved and will never forget. Softly the leaves of memory fall, Gently we gather and cherish them all. Planted deep in memory's garden And watered daily with tears, Memory has a magical way Of keeping loved ones near.

Richie, Hamstein, one of my very best friends. Thank you for the years of great friendship. You were more of a brother than a friend. You have taught me so much about how to appreciate this simple things in life. You took me under your wing at Bob's Taxi and the hours and hours of talking about the industry and the short cuts and quizzing each other about our local geography. The hours and hours of playing Bess, having you sing along with me. Making me learn to play the song Taxi. Most of all thank you for being there for me during one of my darkest times and all of your acts of kindness from taking in friends in their time of need,(which were many), to your caring for the Earth by your obsessive recycling. You always made everyone you knew laugh and smile. You were of the most generous, sincere, kind hearted people I have ever known. You had your own unique way of expressing yourself with straight honesty and integrity that did not anger people. I will forever carry you with me my brother in my heart soul and mind. I love you Brother, rest easy. My love, thoughts and prayers are with the love of his life, Cathy Gratta, her children, grandchildren and Richie's brother Joseph Graham.

Richard, you may be gone, but you are not forgotten. Barely a day goes by that I don't think that I need to pick up the telephone and give you a call. You were a good man and I hope that wherever you are you have peace, serenity, and a sense of happiness and fulfillment. I will always be your brother and I will always remember good times with you and the rest of the family. You are missed! Joseph

Heaven must have needed a professional 3 speed on the column driver. We were good friends. You were the same boy as the man Russ Goldstein spoke of. We drove your Mom's car back and forth down your driveway at least 100 times a weekend. I was saddened to search for you and find your story here Richard.... I never called you Ritchie, I still do not know why. I can hear your unique voice, your calm demeanor, telling me not to grind those gears.
