Obituary For Richard D Gilmore

Richard D. Gilmore passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 1st 2021. Born February 6th 1934 to Samuel Gilmore and Dorothy (Mullen) Gilmore. Ritchie was born and raised in the Roxbury and Dorchester neighborhoods of Boston. He was a butcher by trade for 50 years and after his retirement Ritchie drove for Bagnell Auto Parts for 11 year. Ritchie was married to his wife Patricia (Larkin) Gilmore for 60 years and they had 3 children. Ritchie loved family and if he had an audience he would entertain you for hours with his jokes and stories. A huge Boston sports fan, but by far the New England Patriots were his favorite, as a former season ticket holder.

Ritchie is preceded in death by his father, Samuel, and his mother, Dorothy, his identical twin brother, Kenneth, and his loving sisters Diane Graziano, Carol LoConte & Jaqueline Damata. Richard is survived by his loving wife Patricia, his children Richard Jr. of Tampa Florida, Patricia and her husband James of Abington, and Kenneth and his wife Sherrie of Concord NH. His grandchildren Nicole Gale and her husband Rob, Danielle Rogers, Douglas Rogers, Jamie Rogers and her partner Marc Connolly, and Dayna Sousa and her husband Joey, his great grandchildren Dominic Cambra, Juliette Rogers, Liam & Julian Sousa.

Richard is also survived by his sisters Sheila Analetto and Dorothy (Tudy) Kimball as well as his brothers Norman Gilmore, Peter Gilmore and Reece Gilmore and many many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday March 28th, 2021 at 1PM at the Rockland Golf Course, 276 Plain St, Rockland, MA 02370. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ASPCA.org
