Obituary For Richard B. Yule

Richard B. Yule, 82 of Middleboro, formerly of Rockland died on April 21, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was born in Quincy, son of the late Archibald and Marion (McLaughlin) Yule and was raised and educated in Rockland. He has made his home in Middleboro since 1980. Richard was a machinist by trade and spent his 40 year career at the H.H. Arnold Co. and later Globe Rubber Co. both in Rockland. In his retirement he was a driver for Ingle Bus Co. in Hanover. He was a former member of the Rockland Grange and currently a member of the Norwell Grange, the Mitchell Club and the Middleboro VFW. He is survived by his sister, Meredith "Jean" Eldeb and her husband James of Hanson, he was the brother of the late Robert Yule. Also surviving are his sister in law, Judith Yule of Carver, nephews Steven Yule of Carver and James Eldeb, Jr. of Hanson, nieces Patti-Jean Yule of Brockton, Cynthia Eldeb of Carver, Linda Ingle of Hanover, Marion Eldeb of Hanson and several great nieces and nephews. A Funeral was held in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Friday, April 25th at 11:00 AM. Calling hours were held on Thursday, April 24th from 5:00-8:00 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Norwell Grange, c/o Rebecca McArthur 417 Beechwood St. Cohasset, MA 02025.

    My sympathy to all his family. I loved going on trips with him he was a great leader! I'm sad he didn't get to have his chickens! He was so looking forward to that.

    We will truly miss Richard who has been a part of our family for the past twenty-five years. On our visits to my mother, Debbie Griffin, we could always count on Richard to share some of his stories and his sense of humor. We loved him dearly.

    We have known Richie for many years and my husband enjoyed playing cards with him at the Mitchell Club & the Elks Lodge! He was one of the most gentle men I have ever known. He always had a kind word and a big smile for everyone! He will be missed! \ Dave & Linda
