Richard Allen Damon, 83, formerly of Rockland, passed away peacefully, on June 30, 2025, after a long battle with multiple health complications.

He was raised in Rockland, the son of the late Lillian and Lawrence Damon. Husband of the late Patricia Damon. Richard is survived by his three children, Kaitlynn and her husband Matthew Muzrall of Cumberland, RI, Andrew and his wife Sarah Damon of Stamford CT, and Rebecca Damon of Medford, MA. He leaves behind five grandchildren Aiden, Myles, Riley, Fionnuala, and Althea.

Richard enjoyed watching his children grow up in his hometown and always loved a baseball, basketball, or softball game. Injured at work in the late 1980s, Richard became known around town for his extensive paper route. In more recent years he was an avid watcher of Red Sox games. For the last several years Richard enjoyed going outside and exploring the grounds of Liden Ponds.

The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate Richard’s life on Saturday July 26, 2025from 9:00-10:00 AM at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA 02370. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
