Ray always had the biggest smile, and we've missed that, as well as his little food "gifts", since he moved from our neighborhood. We will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

Uncle Ray was always a very happy and energetic person. Of all my memories working for Ray at Sunnyfield as a short order cook is the fondest. I learned to work hard, have fun, and what it meant to have a strong work ethic. All the best to Ray, Neil, Danny and their families.

My thoughts and prayers are with all surviving family members and friends, especially Neil, who is as fine a son any father could ask for...a truly enduring shining light.

Uncle Ray was an incredible person, some of my favorite memories of growing up are of Ray at Empire Grove. His spaghetti sauce was the best and the spaghetti and bean supper has never been the same. I always think of him and say a prayer when I go to Empire Grove. I love him and miss him dearly.

We were so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful friend and neighbor for so many happy years! Ray was the kindest, most cheerful and generous of friends. We will miss him very much and will keep him in our hearts and prayers.

Scott's favorite memories of Uncle Ray are family reunions at SunnyField Restaurant. The adults would look on in horror as the kids attacked the soda fountain while Ray would stand back, smile, and say "Have a good time." Family dinners at Nevins Circle with turkey and Ray's famous biscuits. Our collect favorite memories of Uncle Ray will always be of times spent at Empire Grove. He was always putting on large dinners for the camp ground with a twinkle in his eyes and a smile on his face -- always the smile. He was a kind and gentle man who will forever live in our hearts and a treasure to be missed. Uncle Ray, you are loved. Our deepest sympathy to Sonny, Neil, Dan, and their families. He was once of a kind....
