Uncle Ray you will be missed, loved spending time with you and uncle fred and all the laughs you gave us throughout my childhood.

Uncle Ray left us with the gift of being able to see the humor in almost any situation. He loved to laugh and make others do so too. Uncle Ray also loved to sing! As a kid, I remember sitting in the Duffy parlor by the organ on Sundays...My Dad would play, my Mom would sing---along with everyone in the room...and the high point of the night would be Uncle Ray singing "Danny Boy"!!! Heaven just gained a great Irish tenor!!!

How blest were we all to have had Uncle Ray in our lives. Sweet, kind, gentle, funny, practical in all aspects of his life. Ray was truly an Angel on earth. I am so happy to have had him over for dinner on his last visit here a few weeks ago. I shall surely miss his smiling face.

Our since condolences to the Duffy family on the passing of Ray. We used to meet him at Holy Family Cemetery visiting his wife. My parents are buried directly in front of his lot. I remembered him from my days in the Holy Family Defenders. He used to tell me that he watered our flowers when he came up, and we watered his when we were there. Such a kind and friendly man. We will say a prayer for him when we visit.

I was deeply saddened when I learned about Daddy Duff's passing. I'm honored to have known such a kind and warm hearted man. May his memory live on thru all of us as we reminisce and laugh over stories and the "oh baby" hugs we shared with Daddy Duff! My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of sorrow.

I remember all the family gatherings, especially Christmas, when we played violin and piano with Ray always there loving to sing along with Christmas carols and all the "old" songs - he loved to sing! Growing up he was a wonderful Big Brother to me. I loved him dearly.

It was so wonderful to spend time with Uncle Ray just a few weeks ago and hear stories about the war. He was always such a pleasure to spend time with and we loved his keen sense of humor. Extra special was snatching the bill before Ray could grab it or George would say that he was sneaking off to the bathroom to purchase a restaurant gift card and mail it to Ray as a surprise. Thank God we have so many precious memories because he will be sorely missed.

The most outstanding memory I have of Uncle Ray is his wonderful sense of humor. He could always be counted on to crack a joke no matter what the circumstances...and the jokes were actually funny, too! His steadfast devotion to Aunt Dot all those years of her illness and his faithfulness to his personal values, family and job will always stand out as a strong example to future generations of "Duffys" of what it means to live your life "the right way". Uncle Ray, The journey has been long, you have passed all your tests with flying colors, now go get your prize!
