Randalin “Randy” Ralston May 17, 1946 - October 10, 2021 Rockland Massachusetts

Randy passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Quincy MA. She grew up spending time at her family home on Great Herring Pond. It is also where she met her husband of 53 years, John Ralston. She graduated from Quincy high school (‘64). Randy worked at the Quincy Shipyard, Jordan Homes, and Braintree Sons of Italy. She spent many years working as the Assistant Town Clerk of Rockland and was the Town Clerk before she retired. Randy had a smile that would light up a room. Her laugh was infectious. She always loved to dance and her feet were always moving to the music. She loved to dress in bright colors. She loved spending time with family and friends, but especially with her grandchildren. She loved “her people” and if you were one of them, you definitely knew it. Her door was always open. Many times at family dinners, you never knew who was going to be there but she always made sure there was an extra place or two at her table. She was an aunt, mom, grammie, and forever friend to many. She loved making people happy and hosting guests. Her favorite was her 4th of July party. Randy enjoyed gardening- setting up her yard with beautiful flowers and her numerous fountains and lights. Christmas was her all around favorite. She would set up her village, decorate her house from top to bottom, and make her special cookies. She loved it so much, she was known to leave her decorations up through February. Randy enjoyed camping. She spent many years camping with her family and continued the tradition with her grandchildren. She loved to travel. She went on many cruises, trips to Florida, and loved to go to Canada to spend special times with relatives there. One of her favourite trips was to Turks and Caicos. Randy loved visiting her son Jay in Pennsylvania as well. She was always up for hosting a party, summer cookouts and Christmas get togethers. There are many fond memories of fondue parties and who could forget her glögg. She was involved in many clubs. The PM Club, her Selfish Shower girls, The Red Hat society, The Rockland Lions Club, the Shriners, and the Minutemen. Randy also enjoyed the many conventions she went to including The Shriners Potentate Ball and The Lions Mid Winter Conferences. She never had any fun. 🙂 Randy loved going on motorcycle rides with John and also enjoyed driving the mustang. She was known to have a lead foot. She is survived by her loving husband John, her daughter Lisa Leahy and her husband Jay of Rockland, her sons Scott Ralston and his fiance Michelle of Whitman, and Jay Ralston of Manheim, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Marlyssa, Delaney, and Jacob Leahy, Samantha Boorack, and Nicole and Gary Clark. She was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Barbara Stone and was the sister of Pamela Anderson and her husband Dave of Plymouth, Marvin (Ronnie) Stone and his wife Pat of Hanson, and Peter Stone and his wife Jeanne of Plymouth. Randy also has many nieces, nephews, and family both by blood and chosen.

Visiting hours will be Saturday October 16 from 10am - 1pm with funeral services immediately following. There will be a reception at Rockland Golf Course to continue the celebration of Randy's life.
