Obituary For Priscilla V. Nash

Priscilla V. (Ellmes) Nash, 91 of Brentwood, NH formerly of Hanover died on December 29, 2007 at the Barka Assisted Living Center in Brentwood, New Hampshire where she had made her home since 2006. She was born in Abington, Ma. daughter of the late Alfred P. and Hattie B. (Sturtevant) Ellmes and graduated from Abington High School in 1934, She married the late Elwin A. Nash in 1936 and they moved to Hanover where she made her home until 2005. She has resided in Brentwood New Hampshire since that time. An Active member of the First Baptist Church of Hanover, Priscilla served on many committees including the Willing Workers Group. She was the church financial secretary for more than fifteen years and was a Sunday School teacher for 35 years. She was active in the Golden Age Club of Hanover serving as the groups president, Priscilla also was a member of the Hanover Seniors Bowling Club. For many years she was active in the Old Colony Baptist Women's Association serving on several committees. She loved poetry and wrote many poems. She is survived by a son, Rev. William E. Nash and his wife Marilyn of Templeton, a daughter Judith A. Abbott and her husband Gordon of Stratham, NH, six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Thursday, January 3rd from 10 AM-12 Noon. Burial will be in Hanover Center Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held in the First Baptist Church of Hanover at 1:15 PM. Donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Hanover, Webster St. Hanover, MA 02339.
