Obituary For Phylis M. Blake

Phylis Mary (Conant) Blake, 75 of Rockland, MA died on July 30, 2017 at the Royal of Norwell Nursing Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 3, 1941 in Stoughton, MA to the late Gerald Conant and her mother Marjorie (Taylor) Conant. Phylis was raised and educated in Rockland and was part of the Rockland High School graduating class of 1959.

She worked for many years as a factory worker for the Pacific Scientific Company. Phylis enjoyed playing cards and games with her family and friends. She was an avid Red Sox fan and was very talented at crocheting. More than anything Phylis enjoyed spending time with her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.

Phylis was the long time partner of the late Ramon Carpenter. She was the mother of Gerald F. Blake and his wife Michelle (Pigeon) Blake of Rockland. Phylis was the sister of Robert E. Conant Sr. and his wife Susan of Hanover, Patricia Corigliano and her husband Robert of NY and the late James J. Conant. She was the loving grandmother of Jillian, Andrew and Ethan Blake. Several nieces and nephews will dearly miss her.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Phylis's life on Thursday August 3, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA 02370. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday August 4, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Rockland. Burial will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery. For more information please visit www.magounbiggins.com
