Obituary For Pauline Pigeon

Pauline (Ratkiewicz) Pigeon passed peacefully on Sunday January 30, 2022. She was 87 years old. She was born in Brockton, MA, the daughter of Alexander Ratkiewicz and Emily (Fabian) Ratkiewicz. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, the Chandler School for Women and took specialized classes at Stonehill College. She was employed as a payroll clerk for the Footjoy Corporation, and later in life as an office manager for South Shore Business Forms. She spent the majority of her life as a homemaker, devoted wife and mother to her four children.

She enjoyed her award winning flower gardens, making crafts, and was active in the community, church and civic activities. She served the town of Rockland as a Selectwoman for 14 years. Previously she was an active member and president of the Holy Family Mother's Club and assistant treasurer of the Rockland Visiting Nurse Association. She also served on the Rockland Citizens Scholarship Foundation and as chairwoman of the Rockland Cancer Crusade for five years. She was a Brownie leader, member of the Rockland High School Band Boosters and served on the Rockland Bicentennial Commission for two years.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Roland A. Pigeon, as well as her four children and their spouses; Doreen (Pigeon) and Jerry Curtis, Gregory and Sharon Pigeon, Douglas and Kathaleen Pigeon and Ronald Pigeon and Daniel Ouelette. She was the loving grandmother of Elizabeth, Stephanie, Jason, James, Christopher, Kayla, Melinda and Alexandra, as well as great-grandmother of Olivia. A wake will be held Sunday February 6, 2022 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland. Funeral services will be held privately on Monday February 7, 2022

    Deepest Sympathy to Rollie, Greg and family I will always remember growing up on North Ave and going over to the Pigeon's to play in the yard and you coming over for sledding in our back yard and you mom was always glad that we were coming over.
