Obituary For Paula F McDonough

Paula Frances McDonough (71) from Pembroke, MA, was born August 26, 1953, in Dorchester, MA, and died August 29, 2024, in Weymouth, MA, surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Her unexpected death will leave a profound void in the lives of her loved ones.

Paula was a cherished daughter, sister, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and trusted friend. She generously devoted her life to her family and home. Paula enjoyed socializing with friends either at her weekly knitting group or watching her favorite football team, the New England Patriots. She was an avid baker and loved traveling, ballroom dancing, and being with her family. Her love for tea reflected her warm and nurturing spirit. Paula’s kindness and generosity touched everyone she met. Her loved ones will forever miss the support, guidance, and strength she gave to them.

Paula is preceded in death by her longtime partner Ted, survived by her four beloved sisters Maureen, Donna, Denise, and Carol, her four children and their spouses Pamela and (Julio), Rebecca and (Dan), Jennifer and (Chris), and Christopher and (Sarah), and their father Michael. Her legacy continues through eleven grandchildren Lyndsy and (Tom), Erica and (Eric), Emily and (Andrew), Brian, Ned, Rachel, Jack, Ruby, Audrey, Kate, Carter, and four great-grandchildren Nathaniel, Caroline, Savannah, Samantha, and one on the way.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Magoun Biggins funeral home in Rockland on September 27th from 5:00-7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Paula’s memory to the American Stroke Foundation.

    No words can help .. know she is with you and will always be a part of your hearts a fun memory.......,you know I love Paula's date nut bread I would ask for recipe she would tease me and say if you want some you have to visit and have tea

    I miss you every day. I'll miss our pool party's, I'll miss our Sunday visits, I'll miss our football games in the cabana. Steve will miss all the girl talk...I guess I'll just miss everything we shared. Thanks for all the memories. Love you my friend of 30 something years ❤ love Joni
