Obituary For Paul R. Mincone

Paul R. Mincone, 73, of Abington, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, January 27, 2020, after a hard fought battle with Alzheimer's. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.

He is the son of the late Louis and Loretta Mincone. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen L, Mincone; son Paul Mincone, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Barrington, RI; his daughter, Leesa Chapman, of Brockton; and his grandsons, Noah and Alex Mincone and Paul and Caleb Chapman. He also is survived by his brother, Louis Mincone, of Rockland; sisters, Beverly Allard and Angela Santos, both of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews and three grandnephews.

Paul was a member of Holy Family Church, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Knights of Columbus and VFW.

He had a caring heart, welcoming smile, and his own sense of humor. He enjoyed his rock and roll music, traveling, clamming at Duxbury Beach, and of course, his beloved vegetable garden. He had a green thumb like no other. He lived life to the fullest. His favorite times were spent with friends and family. He loved to host and entertain from St. Patrick's Day parties to backyard cookouts and pool parties to Christmas Eve open house and everything in between. He especially loved to attend his grandsons' activities and cheer them on.

Paul was always there to lend a helping hand in good times and bad. He was someone everyone counted on to be there for them, and he never disappointed. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be a funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Holy Family Church, 403 Union Street, Rockland. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in Paul's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
