Dear Moriarty Family, Please accept my deepest condolences. I greatly admired Mr. Moriarty. He was a kind, honorable and decent man who served his family, country, community and church with passion and conviction. I recall fondly sharing with him Governor King's appointment ceremony after naming him a Judge. He lived a wonderful life and everyone was blessed who knew him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Paul and family. Paul was a great friend to my mom and dad growing up. Then to me through the Rockland Police Department and Holy Family Church. Paul was a devout Catholic and a friend to all he met. A finer man you could never meet.

I knew Paul from daily Mass at Holy Family. Often, he would have morning coffee at Anita Marie's on Union Street where he had many friends. Loved his St. Pat's day sweaters. He was so proud to be Irish. Just a good, good man.

Hi Fran, I am so sad to hear of Paul's passing. I know he is doing well. I'll be up as soon as I can. No one else knows how much I owe to Paul.

Rest in peace judge moriarty. A finer judge I have never seen. He was compassionate, respectful to all and a fair man. No litigant ever left his courtroom not believing that they received due process of law. He truly pursued the biblical command to judges, " justice, justice shall thou pursue". Godspeed. My condolences to his family
