Obituary For Paul D. Couture

Paul David Couture passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2025, surrounded by his daughters. Paul is the son of the late Clement and Dorothy Couture. His siblings, Jean, John, Jane, and Richard, preceded him in death.

Paul went to Norfolk County Agricultural High School, graduating in 1971. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. Paul worked as a mechanic in the elevator union for many years, eventually retiring as a Massachusetts state elevator inspector from the Department of Public Safety. Paul lived an active life, enjoying time at several VFWs and, recently, the Cohasset American Legion. Paul enjoyed adventures and went on a solo cross-country trip ending in Alaska, where he spent most of his time with the wildlife, taking many amazing photos. This trip inspired him to move up to the white mountain in NH, where he lived for several years. Paul also went on a humanitarian mission to Russia in the early 90’s. Most of all, Paul loved spending time with his family, of whom he was incredibly proud.

Paul is survived by his children Hope MacIsaac of Squantum, Renee Armstrong and her husband Jeff of Rockland, and Julia Murphy and her husband Neal of Duxbury, as well as his grandchildren, Christopher and Brett Armstrong, Hunter, and Cole MacIsaac and Ella and Meghan Murphy and his sister Judy White and her husband, Russell of Plymouth. Paul was fortunate to have enjoyed the holidays and said his goodbyes to his family and closest friends. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family and cherished his longtime friendships.
