Patricia F Burns 88 of Rockland died Thursday July 6, 2023 peacefully at home from natural causes. The daughter of the late WIlliam and Alice (Whiting) Shields, she was born in Stamford CT on September 24,1934. She was raised in Rockland and was a graduate of Rockland High School. Patricia first worked at the Bell Telephone Company before starting her family and becoming a homemaker. Her family came first and her door was always open to all. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Burns, son Matthew Burns and brother John Shields. She is survived by her daughter Ellen (Burns) Finneral of Rockland and husband Thomas Finneral, her grandchildren Brandon Forest and his wife Carolyn of Seattle WA, Samantha Brandolini of Weymouth, Shane and Dylan Burns of Hanson and three great grandchildren, Caleb and Liam Brandolini and Charlotte Centore.

The Burns family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Patricia’s life on Thursday July 13, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 14, 2023 at 9:00 am in the Holy Family Church in Rockland. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
