Obituary For Nancy A. Horsman

Nancy Horsman (Cannon) passed away on March 27, 2023. Nancy was born in Medford MA on January 9, 1938 to parents Harold and Florence Cannon. Nancy was married to the late Bertram Horsman. Nancy was raised and educated in Rockland, graduating class of 1956.

Nancy was the 1st Weekend Warrior Female at the South Weymouth Naval Air Station.

Nancy worked at Esten School cafeteria in Rockland MA for 20 years.

Nancy was a member of The Holy Family Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a choir member for many years.

Nancy is survived by her children; Teresa Gribble, Patty Straffin, Glen Horsman, and Richard Jankowski. Her grandchildren; Justin Gribble, Nichole Holwitz, Michael Horsman, Alyssa Horsman, Chance Jankowski, Nicholas Jankowski and Ricky Jr. Jankowski. Her great grandchild; Hunter Dananiel Holwitz and Halle Ford Gribble.

The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate her life on Friday March 31, 2023 5pm-7pm at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland. A Mass will be held on Saturday April 1, 2023 at 9AM at The Holy Family Church 403 Union St, Rockland, MA 02370. Burial will follow at Northville Cemetery. Oak St, East Bridgewater, MA 02333.

    To Nancy's Family, I have so many dear memories of conversations with your Mom on our way to and from choir practice. We had so many laughs and she is truly the sweetest person. I know I will be missing our talks, but I know how happy she is now resting in the arms of our Savior. May you all find comfort in her loving memories and be at peace knowing she is truly at rest.     I have 2 short stories to share. I was fortunate to have Nancy as my neighbor at the Cushing Residences. Her apartment faced that main entrance to our building so she would see the fire dept every time there was a call. She would knock on her window to get their attention and make a heart with her fingers in appreciation of them. They would cross their hearts in response. Nancy loved to hug everyone. The first time we hugged I told her that she was "squishy" and that I loved that. Needless to say, everytime she hugged me I called her "squishy". She got a kick out of that. Her favorite goodbye was "God loves you and so do I" I'll miss her.
