Obituary For Mildred M. Fontaine

Mildred M. Fontaine, 92 of Whitman died on February 15, 2015 at the Wingate at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Kingston.

Mildred was raised and educated in North Weymouth, Daughter of the late Charles and Nellie (Kenney) Currier. Millie graduated from Weymouth High School in 1942. As a proud veteran of our nations armed services, Millie enlisted in the United States Navy following her high school graduation. Later Millie went on to work as a Clerk at Quincy City Hospital, where she was employed for many years. Millie, enjoyed traveling the world, and lived in many places throughout her life including DeBary FL where she lived for 20 years. Ms. Fontaine enjoyed crocheting and summers in Humarock with family and her close friends. She is survived by her devoted niece and long time care-giver, Paula F. Schraut of Whitman. A daughter, Donna M. Nathan of LA, also Mother of the late Ronald C. Fontaine. Sister of the late Dorothy M Douglas, Helen E. Gilmartin, Janet F. Bailey, Marion P MacDonald, and Barbara O. Sterling. Grandmother of Daniel Nathan of Lynn, and Karina Nathan of LA. Also survived by many nieces and Nephews. A Funeral will be held from The Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Saturday, February 21 at 8:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Holy Family Church in Rockland at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow the Funeral Mass in the Holy Family Cemetery.

    Paula and family, so sorry for the loss of your Aunt Millie. Paula you were a wonderful caregiver for your aunt. She was lucky to have such a wonderful, caring person in her life. May she rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    Paula sorry for the loss of Auntie Millie she loved you and she never had a need for anything with you as her caregiver you are the best!!! She enjoyed going to the beach, lunches, getting out and about with you and all the treats you brought her. You have many memories to cherish. Love you Paula. My thoughts are with Millie's family and friends who loved her.
